The Elgin Crosswind is a regenerative air sweeper. It can efficiently clean large flat paved areas such as parking lots, airport runways, and streets. These street sweepers are made to traverse large areas, while being easy to operate and maintain. The Crosswind is mounted on a short-wheelbase and is operated by simple rocker switches. It features a large hopper (8-10 cubic yards) and water tank (240 gallons), excellent fuel efficiency and is able to travel long periods between trips to dumping, re-watering and fueling.
The Crosswind’s sweep path is 144 inches so it can perform a sweeping job quickly. There’s an air conditioned cab for the operator with ergonomic display panel. The Crosswind is quiet, has less vibration, and less maintenance than other models on the market. The compact design with shorter wheel base allows for tighter turns for better sweeping and maneuverability.
